Carolyn W. Woods
President and Executive Director
Carolyn W. Woods is the Founder and Executive Director of Safe Harbor Children's Shelter. A lifelong Terrebonne Parish resident and a nurse with a forty year career in nursing, education, and child development, she founded Safe Harbor after welcoming a child through foster care, determined to give children in crisis a safe place to heal and to keep brothers and sisters together.

Kaydi LeCompte
Treasurer
Kaydi LeCompte is a dedicated business professional, entrepreneur, and community advocate with more than twenty years of experience in business management, budgeting, accounting, and event planning. She brings Safe Harbor strong organizational, financial, and leadership skills that support sound fiscal accountability and well run programs. A proud mother and grandmother with a heart for children and families, she believes every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive, and she is committed to programs that foster education, creativity, and personal development.

Sonya Celestin
Secretary
Sonya Celestin brings more than twenty years of experience as a medical oncology assistant, along with a deep heart for family and community. A devoted mother and grandmother, she is an active member of Saint Luke Baptist Church, where she serves on the usher board, and she enjoys bowling in her local tri parish league.

Stephanie Williams-Ausama
Director
Stephanie Williams-Ausama loves pouring into the next generation. A former youth softball and cheer coach, she now serves as a line dance instructor, volunteers with her public library, and chairs the Junior Debutants in her Social and Civic Club, mentoring young ladies through their debutant journey. She holds a degree in criminal justice, spent five years in the juvenile justice system, and leads with discipline, heart, and service. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is a caring advocate for sickle cell warriors and an active member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Houma, where she sings in the choir and takes part in Couples Ministry.

Maxine Carlos
Director
Maxine Carlos brings a heart for children shaped by hands on advocacy. For about five years she served as a CASA, a court appointed special advocate, visiting children in need, speaking up for them in court, and bringing them goodie bags on holidays. A devoted mother and grandmother, she carries that same care for children into her work with Safe Harbor.
